We arrived at the
Village just in time for Thanksgiving dinner. Meals at the village are
donated by Perkins restaurant and manned by volunteers. The Gingerbread
house is the dining room.
The walls of the Gingerbread house
are lined with dolls and stuffed toys from all over the world. The
story goes that a child visiting from Russia was the first one to send
a doll to decorate the shelves that line the walls in the house!
We
were just in AWE when we walked in. The whole village was decorated for
Christmas with lights and trees and the atmosphere was simply the most
cheerful! This page is dedicated to the hundreds of people, volunteer
and paid who spend their day making our time at the village so
wonderful! We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts! "Give Kids The World Village"
